About this Site

Built almost 2 500 years ago, the Parthenon is a testament to the cultural, scientific and artistic sophistication of the Ancient Greeks.  Although the building has been damaged in war and stripped of many of its features, the magnitude of the Parthenon still clear.

This WWW site is provides information about the Parthenon.  Photographs are supplemented by images from a reconstruction of the Parthenon, created by Chris Blundell using the Unreal Engine2 Runtime.  This site and the Unreal-based reconstruction have been developed as part of the "Exploring Ancient Wonders: The Parthenon" project for 7078CTL-Computer Education Research Project, Master of Education, Griffith University.
