Map Information "High in the swiss mountains the Liandri Organisation found a dipalidated complex of buildings. Once a monastery, this long since forgotten ruin is now a venue for the latest round of frantic deathmatch action." After working for six intense months on a commercial product, you'd think that I'd need or want a break! I certainly expected this to be the case, but to my astonishment this map came to me one evening while sketching. I just had to answer the call! My intention with this map was to create an environment that seem reasonibly realistic and yet played well as a traditional Deathmatch (or Last Man Standing) map. This map stays within 200 visible polygons except for one small area near the tower courtyard. It should run reasonible smoothly on machines with 450+ MHz processors. A number of times during beta testing, it was suggested I should bring the roof into play. I like the flow of the map as it is now. But I have decided that at some undetermined point in the distant future, I may make a second version of the map (an XL version) that includes some sections of the roof in the flow.
